June is the Great Outdoors Month, and there are plenty of parks in Clarksville and Middle Tennessee to explore. DoctorsCare has some activities for you to enjoy this month
There are many different parks and trails right here in Montgomery County and all over Middle Tennessee. Here are some of the local parks to check out this month.
Billy Dunlop Park
Billy Dunlop Park is located at 1930 E Boy Scout Road in Clarksville. On 30 acres of land, this park has playground areas, places for a family picnic, and plenty of places to relax. Other amenities include a pavilion with a fireplace, restrooms, canoe/kayak access, fishing access, and more. Billy Dunlop Park is open from dawn to dusk.
Clarksville Greenway
The Clarksville Greenway offers a 9-mile trail to bike, run, or walk. It offers views of the Cumberland River and beautiful forestry. You can access the Clarksville Greenway from Heritage Park, Pollard Road, and Marys Oak Drive Park. Restrooms are available, as well as benches and other resting areas.
Heritage Park Sports Complex
The Heritage Park Sports Complex has plenty of fields and parks for the whole family. It features a basketball court, splash pad, dog park, playground, skate park, restroom, pavilion, tables, and much more. It’s open from dawn to dusk at 1241 Peachers Mill Road.
