DoctorsCare COO Retires

Debra Jones

Message from Stephen W. Kent, MD:

Debra Jones will be sorely missed by all the DoctorsCare staff and myself.  She has been a very loyal and dedicated employee who has helped navigate us away from troubled waters.  Healthcare can be a very challenging business.  It is heavily regulated, changes come frequently, staff training is demanding, insurance carriers can be challenging, and unfortunately, sometimes we miss the mark, yet we always strived for excellence under Debra’s leadership!  During her tenure at DoctorsCare, we were chosen by Best of Clarksville seven years straight as Best of Clarksville in several categories.  This last time we won Best Walk-In Medical Clinic, Best Medical Facility, and Best Doctor.  Debra has served our employees and customers responsibly with dignity and humility.  We owe her a great debt of gratitude for making the many sacrifices during her time with DoctorsCare.  She and her husband Dave are well respected and renowned members of the Clarksville/Montgomery County community.

Thank you Debra Jones…It has been my privilege to work with you!

About Debra Jones:

Debra Jones came to DoctorsCare in 2012. She brought with her an extensive background in the accounting field, manufacturing and business management. She started with DoctorsCare in the accounts payable area and moved shortly after to business office manager. She then had a short time as the interim Administrator and eventually became the Administrator in 2013. In 2019 she became the Chief Operations Officer (COO).

Debra is very family-oriented. She and her husband David have lived in Clarksville since 1988. They have 6 children, 12 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild. Debra also enjoys giving back to the community as well as the military and their families. She’s been involved with the Military Affairs Committee (MAC) of Hopkinsville, KY and the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).

In addition since 1988 she’s been locally involved with the Kiwanis, Relay for Life, March of Dimes, a Board member with Gateway Credit Union, and a Board member with Miller-Motte College. She is presently a Board member and Secretary / Treasurer of Clarksville Medical Group Management Association (CMGMA). In her spare time, believe it or not, she enjoys woodworking, landscaping, and gardening as hobbies.

Her passionate and caring attitude in her personal life has carried over and continued throughout her professional career. These attributes allowed her to be instrumental in not only leading DoctorsCare but helping the company be recognized as the “Best of Clarksville” Medical / Health Care – Urgent Care Clinic 7 years in a row. However, this accomplishment would not have been possible without the dedication and cooperation of the staff of which she was very proud of.

Debra was also instrumental in the upgrades and improvements of DoctorsCare both inside and outside of the facilities, from the parking lot to landscaping on the outside to remodeling and maintaining the inside. She was also instrumental in the introduction of a new security system and the upgrade of radiology capabilities of the clinics. All of this while maintaining an excellent rapport with Vendors and Patients alike, positively promoting DoctorsCare throughout the community, and constantly meeting the guidelines and standards of a health care facility.
